Ghana is located on the West African south coast. English is the official language. This is because it is a former British colony.
Mandatory vaccinations / stamps are required for Cholera and Yellow fever. The GGD recommends vaccination for DTP and Hepatitis A. Malaria protection is also recommended. We advise participants to go to the doctor or the Municipal Health Service for personal advice.
In November it’s approximately around 25 degrees. However since there’s no wind it’s very hot. This in combination with the high humidity of 80% makes Ghana feel tropical. We’re located in in southern Ghana and are just in between two rainy seasons. This does not mean that it cannot rain at all!
